COVID-19 Special Report: Three Key Societal Trends That Will Translate to Corporate Compliance and Organizational Integrity
Starting in mid-March, life as we knew it completely changed. Borders started closing, COVID-19 was upgraded to a pandemic, a national emergency was declared, social distancing protocols were put into place, and stocks plunged – all in a span of five days. The reality of this situation is so unique and extraordinary that during these last two months, it has almost felt as though we’ve been living in some sort of social experiment. And, as with any experiment, there are some preliminary observations worth noting.
These societal observations are broad-reaching and expand into nearly all aspects of our lives – including business, and even more specifically, corporate compliance and culture. We have identified three overarching phenomena amplified and made apparent by COVID-19, and explored their implications on corporate compliance and organizational integrity.
